When I turn on my computer and run a quick scan with BullGuard I get a virus located in the svchost. I remove. ill then do a full scan and nothing was found. ill put my computer back and have bad onquick scan the same spot virus. I have run a scan in safe mode and found nothing.

I'm an unprivileged user and want to be able to write to the hosts file. Is there a way to do my own hosts file and tell my user account to use that file instead of the system? I am running Windows XP
As far as I know, to Unless you're an administrator who does not have access to windows system32 drivers etc hosts, which is the hosts file on Windows XP. You can not have a Hosts file "for user "- the only thing you can do is get someone with administrator access to create a script that is copied over the existing version during login (And obviously different copies for different users log on).
